What is your WIP? Pine Lake Writing Tag! #1

Has your WIP a working title? If so, tell us! If not, have you any idea of what it might be?

Yes. Pine Lake.

Have you a synopsis for your WIP? If so, give it to us! If not, can you give us a blurb on what your WIP is about?

Define synopsis... lol... sure!

A group of five best friends (Moriah, Annalise (Anne), Addison, Alexia, and Ivery) go on a week trip to a lake cabin at Pine Lake. They can't wait to spend time together for an entire week, and then at an open to the public, lake volleyball tournament they meet five guys. Love at first sight kicks in, and they all start dating them. But after this rash decision, a huge argument breaks out with every couple. Will the argument take over everything, or will love with no fault suffice?

Have you a working/mock cover for your WIP? If so, show us! If not, have you an idea in mind?

I don't. But I have character art! Shoutout if you want to see it! Anyways, I think my idea is to put the girls on the cover as a group or something, second option being a lake bonfire.

How long do you think it will be? Is it longer or shorter than you thought it would be?

Right now there is no way to tell, as I have only written chapter one and a bit of chapter two. I expect it to be very short, the story line would be pretty boring if I did it too long. You heard the story line/plot, and it doesn't have enough stock to do more then like, 20,000-30,000 words? That would probably be the maximum. Minimum maybe 15,000/18,000 words?

What‘s your favorite memory related to this WIP?

Pft! You think I have memories?! No, I am kidding, umm, maybe writing Addison. She is so inspiring.

Any special person(s) who helped create it?

Yessss! At summer camp, our counselor used chatgpt to make a romance story of the boy counselors that we had crushes on and us being old enough to date them. I found the character personality's in my camp journal and decided to use it for a book!

What‘s your favorite scene so far (if you can tell about it without spoilers!)?

Oh goodness! I haven't done enough! But so far, I like the one where they are first arriving at the cabin.

Can you give us a snippet?

Nope! You won't get nothing out of me! JK JK! But I already posted two snippets, which you can find them in the two posts before this one!

Is the story still what you thought it would be, or has it thrown you a couple curveballs?

Too early to tell.

Is there a Bible verse, poem, hymn, picture, or quote that helped shape this story?

Yess! 1 Corinthians 13

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Sorry about how big this text is!

When and where have you done most of the writing so far?

Maybe in my room, in my journal app, on my phone, or on the computer. And as for time, mostly just the evenings or afternoons!

Where do you get inspiration for this story?

Who knows? Like actually, who knows?!

Are you a plotter or a pantser?

Do we HAVE to talk about this???!!!!! *PROBABLY A PANSTER, LET'S JUST KEEP IT TO THAT* *SIGH*

Are you thinking of publishing this story?

I don't think so! I don't think that it is publishing worthy, but then again...

What things have you learned while writing this story?

That my memory is actually pretty dang good! I have to try and remember what happened in that chatgpt story!

OKKKKKK! THAT IS ALL! HAVE A GOOD DAY! YES I KNOW, IT IS STILL SABBATH! BUT I JUST HAD TO POST AGAIN!!!!!
