Three girls three worlds: PLOT LINE AND NOT A LOT OF INFO!
Hey my PEEPS! How's life HITTING you in the face? Wellllllllllllllllllllllll... today I thought it proper to bring up my INGRID snippet that I posted a while ago. The snippet was really short but I liked the way it flowed, like the words pieced together really nicely in my opinion. If you haven't seen the snippet then you can check it out at the bottom of this post, AND make sure that you read it before continuing.
Me: K I'll be back once you're done!
*I walk away*
*I come back and you don't notice*
*I look over your shoulder to make sure that you're reading it*
👀 Me: You done yet?
😰: You: Girl, how long have you been there?!
Buuuttt, in all seriousness, read the SNIPPET! Anyway, (ONCE YOU'RE DONE WHITH THAT JOYOUS LITTE PARAGRAPH), you may be wondering: What in the world is the story? What in the world is the Plot? Who in the world is Ingrid?
*you hyperventilating, going into a super high pitched voice 😱*
*me going: HEY! chill out! Let's sit back and I'll give you SOME OF the details*
INTRO:
Ok... first of all, I'm gonna try my best to make this as SHORT as is physically possible!
The whole idea came about (The idea of my book, Three girls three worlds) when I was watching the movie "Tangled" with my siblings. IF you haven't seen the movie... which disclaimer (It's really good) then you may not know what happened in the second -to -last scene, where Rapunzel finally reunites with her parents after being separated from them for 18 years.
Anyway... it got me thinking; What if instead of Rapunzel's mom being in the picture, it was Rapunzel's sister. Then that led to the thought of the movie "Frozen" where two sisters are involved. All of that led to this though:
I wanted to write a book that had the same vibe as Frozen and Tangled but had my own twist on it. That led to this plot-line:
Three daughters are born to Queen Elena and King Adnar: Astrid, Hanna, and Anastasia. Norway is at odds with both the Undirins (the arrogant kingdom that had taken rule of part of the Norwegian land) and the Nordiffs (the rebel viking kingdom). Adnar is called to war by his general. He must fight for his family, but when he goes he leaves his Spanish wife Elena to care for their three daughters. Elena is a strong mother and takes in the situation with confidence. Then she finds out that strength and confidence is not all that goes into keeping the ones you love safe. A few days after hearing about the death of her husband the Nordiffs and Undirins attack the Norwegian borders and soon break into the kingdoms gates. Will Elena and the girls stay safe or will their lives all go into a million directions from here on out?
Read Three Girls Three Worlds book One of the Three Girls Three Worlds series.
Ok so that is the unofficial plot line of the book... spoiler alert: I haven't even gotten around to writing the first chapter let alone the first draft, but I have everything I want to happen in my brain, so it's easy to give the plot line.
Tell me if I should do a part two with all the characters and their personality, looks and and all!!
Ingrid awoke to hot beads of sweat dripping from her forehead. She tossed her silk damask quilt away from her calves. Breathing heavily, she looked around her chamber. Her large window- sill creaked through the wind, allowing airflow to sweep her linen curtains side to side. The Norwegian air was crisp and her breath came out like smoke. Standing, she stumbled to the side. Putting her palm to her hairline, she felt a burning sensation zip through her veins. Gasping she twisted towards her inlaid wooden mirror, to find her hazelnut brown hair turning a suspicious auburn. Her 10 year old hands shook before her. Still on the floor, she dragged herself upwards and pushed her hands out the window hoping they would freeze and the cold take away the burn. Exhaling, she watched as the snowflakes started to crust a cold film around her fingers. Blinking back dissipated terror, she brought them slowing to her chest allowing the cold to wash over her whole body. Standing, she noticed that the candles in the corners had gone out in a mere second. She felt a sinking feeling weigh her down. Heat started to build up in her feet. Her whole body felt like it was on fire. "Whats happening to me?"She tripped on her way back to her dark wooden bed. A hot electric shock zipped through her, causing her to twist and fall on her left arm. A flame of fire came forth from her hand. Gasping for air she watched as the flame danced around the ground. It had soon enough lit the bed sheets. Ingrid raced to her window and grabbed a fistful of snow to then toss onto the flames. The coals turned a daring black. Fear crept up her back. She slowly turned to get away from the danger. "I'm going to hurt someone." She whispered. "I have to leave before someone does get hurt." She dashed from the room.
IF you haven't guessed yet, yes, Ingrid does have an elemental power in the book but I won't say which because I'm still kinda unsure and I want to post about all the characters and the idea of the book. Tell me if you'd like me to start writing and then give you snippets along or show you my thought process when I post as I'm writing. You guys tell me in the comments!
BTW: Ingrid is changed to Astrid so sorry for that confusion.
