Get to know me and my CRAZY self!

Hi everyone. Today I thought it would be cool if you guys got to know me a bit more than you do. Here's a bit about myself:

Enislee is the pseudonym of a teenage, optimist, and writing maniac. Living on a farm gives her the freedom that she needs to keep pushing on. Reading, The hobbit and/or Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and all fantasy stories, leaves her thinking if she'll ever amount to what all the greats have become. Sports like hockey, swimming, surfing, and working on her farm, leave adrenaline pumping through her body. Because of that she retreats to having crazy-cool adventures with her sibs. Her amazing 7th day- Adventist church is just what she needs to keep up socially . Jesus is her best friend and she is letting him sculpt her into something beautiful

Ok so this is my avatar paragraph on "Andi carters blog" but this pretty much says it all.

I'm a teen girl with the hope and dream of one day becoming a great writer. Since I was little I've wished that I could be transported to another world, or be on an adventure somewhere in Middle Earth. Unfortunately the only way I can do that is by making up my own adventures and writing them down. My love of writing is so great, and yet so small compared to what Jesus has in mind for me. So many times I'v needed to write stuff down (all the ideas in my head) and end up with a very confusing paragraph, or no paragraph at all. Anyways aside from writing, I love to sing and write songs (I'll post on that later), also I LOVE sports but mostly just hockey (me and my family are huge oiler fans), surfing and swimming are also some things I like. I love going to church to see my friends and have long bible studies with my classes. I LOVE God and want to learn more about him. Anyways here are some of my FAV things:

Fav food: Hmm, this is so difficult! But if i'd have to choose only one thing, it'd probably be Sushi. Me and my family LOVE sushi.

Fav author: My fav authors? I've got so many!

1 Angela Elwell Hunt (she's definitely at the top)

2 Karen Cushman (My fav author because of her historical fiction)

3 Carolyn Mayor (I only have one book written by her but I really love it)

4 Kay D. Rizzo (She's a really good one)

5 Janette Oke anyone?

Here are the books that I'm referring to from the authors I ranked (They will be in the order that the authors are in) :

1 The Heirs of Cahira O'connor

Age appropriate:

12 and up (depends on the level of understanding)

Rated: 5 stars 10/10

Notes: These books are so interesting! They follow religion, arts, medical stuff, and medieval princesses.

2 The Midwife's apprentice and Catherine called birdy

Age appropriate:

10 and up (these aren't hard to understand *to me* but they do have some topics that would be hard for younger children) I did read them when I was about ten... so.....

Rated:

4.5 stars 9/10 (just because I didn't like the endings) *my opinion of course*

Notes: These books are really cool to get a glimpse of the difference in lifestyle between a rich knight's daughter and a poor midwifes assistant.

3 Mary, Bloody Mary

Age appropriate;

12 and up (there is a lot of death in this book and it can be pretty descriptive *but it is real history* )

Rated:

5 stars 10/10 ( I love the insightfulness that this book has to offer)

Notes: This book is based on Mary Tudor, whose life was miserable. This book really transports you to this period and what Mary is feeling. It is Mary's POV)

5  Roses for Mama

Age appropriate:

9 and up

Rated:

5 stars 10/10 *this book is perfect for starting a child up on a bit more complicated chapter books *my first were Romona, but those were super easy*

Notes: this is such a beautiful story, showing a young teen trying to provide for her family. Her and her older brother do all they can to keep the memory of their parents alive.

Those are just a glimpse of my fav books, so make sure you check up on this blog where I share a bit more! Also do your research on these books, they are worth looking into!

Fav christian band/ singer: I LOVE DC talk, Phil Wickham, Leanna Crawford, and Switchfoot!

Fav season: Winter *Ice skating and hockey have my name written all over them*

Fav holiday: I love my birthday, but Christmas is the definite gold medalist :)

Fav flower: I love the color of Sunflowers and how happy they are.

Fav color: Green or royal blue, really all royal colors.

Fav book of the bible: I think revelation is the best book of the bible. I can't wait for the ending to play out!

Fav bible verse: Romans 8:38, 39

*For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height not depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord*

(I just thought of this and wrote it down)

Anyways, hopefully you guys have enough info to "know" me a little bit more.

See ya!

Enislee
